The AIFA West at first announced that it could commence its period with 4 teams, starting in March 2011, following the Tucson Thunder Kats announced it would be suspending functions until eventually 2012. As of January 2011, no routine were introduced, as well as league educated the remaining 3 groups that there wouldn't be considered a fourth work
